MY PASSPORT WDBACY5000ABK-01 DRIVER

I did it for the first Passport but did not even bother with this one. It is removable with much difficulty. It's an excellent choice to keep and backup data, doesn't take up any room and virtually no weight when on the go! Formatting it as FAT 32 did the trick. I am very pleased with this product. It does operate as quickly as one would expect, given that it has a USB 2 interface.

For additional security, there is the option for password-protected encryption of your personal files. I cannot think of any cons. My next storage purchase was to buy a 3TB backup disk for my system. I use them to make duplicate back ups of my Mac Book.

Like most other people who reviewed this product, I gave up on the software that came with it wdbwcy5000abk-01 it made my life easier. I have only had this product for a few days but it looks well built. She operates under Windows. I use this hard drive to store video capture files for editing and production. I expect it to be reliable. Once I figured it out it was really easy.

My MacBook Pro hard drive was running out of space, so I needed somewhere to dump files, folders, and media that Wdbcay5000abk-01 don't regularly access to free up some space.

Yes, you do have to spend a little time reformatting for mac but it was no problem doing so.

When I travel, one passoprt goes with me and the other into the safe deposit box. WDC is helpful with that. It was a little bit difficult to format for Mac but it is very doable.
